LAV III Monument
Support for the Regimental Trust brought a Light Armoured Vehicle (LAV) Monument to Kitchener, commemorating the service of Waterloo Region's Afghanistan Veterans.
The Regimental Trust of the Royal Highland Fusiliers of Canada (RHFC) is a charitable organization dedicated to supporting RHFC soldiers.
Contributions from friends like you, and current and former unit soldiers, directly fund all of our Trust Support Programmes (tax receipts are provided for each charitable donation):
- Providing interest free loans to service members to help them through difficult times until they are financially secure
- Funding educational bursaries that assist deserving unit soldiers to further their education
- Equipping the band, enabling them to participate in local community parades and events -- you may have seen the band at Oktoberfest and Kitchener Remembrance Day Parades this year
- Fostering confidence, teamwork, self-worth, and self-discipline in our youth, by forming and supporting a pipe band school for Cambridge and KW
- Bringing a Light Armoured Vehicle (LAV) Monument to Kitchener to commemorate the service of Waterloo Region's newest veterans -- they are part of the 40,000 young Canadians that served there and the 159 who died during Canada's 12 year commitment
- Lastly, to support our belief that reserve soldiers need to improve their opportunities in establishing a stable civilian career outside the Canadian Armed Forces.
